ShotFinder

ShotFinder turns an existing screenshot library into searchable, organized information. Users can find receipts, bookings, codes, addresses, and saved ideas by the text inside their screenshots, browse automatic tags and categories, and organize useful images into collections. Smart actions let them copy verification codes, open links, use Wi-Fi details, or open addresses in Maps. Core search and organization work offline without an account. Pro adds advanced customization and cleanup tools, while optional AI Enhance processes a single screenshot only when the user requests it. I worked on development and delivery of the Android app, published under Optygate.

The Challenge

Screenshots often contain useful information that gets buried in a growing photo library. Making that information searchable required reliable background indexing, text recognition, and practical organization without uploading a user's private library or requiring an account for everyday use.

My Contribution

I worked on the native Android implementation using Jetpack Compose, on-device ML Kit text recognition, Room, and WorkManager background indexing. My work connects text search with classification, collections, and contextual actions, while keeping the core workflow local. Cleanup tools group duplicates and outdated codes for user review, Google Play Billing supports Pro access, and optional AI enhancement is initiated for individual screenshots.
